ABOUT JEFF EDWARDS

STGC(SW) Jeffery S. Edwards, USN (Ret.)

Jeff Edwards is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, and an Anti-Submarine Warfare Specialist (NEC 0417).  He is currently working as an expert civilian advisor to the Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command, and Naval Space Warfare Systems Command.

A combat veteran, Jeff is a recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, campaign ribbons for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, the liberation of Kuwait, and numerous other medals and citations.  His naval career spanned more than two decades and half the globe - from chasing Soviet nuclear attack submarines during the Cold War, to launching cruise missiles in the Persian Gulf.

Jeff's first novel, TORPEDO, won the Admiral Nimitz Award for Outstanding Naval Fiction from the Military Writers Society of America, the American Author Medal from the American Authors Association, the Reader's Choice Award, the Editor's Choice Award, the Star Performer Award, and was nominated for the American Library Association's W. Y. Boyd Literary Award for Excellence in Military Fiction.
